About the El Cerrito Store
Robert (“Bob”) Gerner grew up shopping at the El Cerrito store location. Nostalgic memories of weekly shopping trips inspired him to keep this space dedicated to serving the surrounding Richmond Annex and El Cerrito community with quality meats, produce and grocery items. We opened the El Cerrito Natural Grocery store location on December 10, 1987. We are proud to continue the legacy of small community markets serving the community. Locally owned by the employees you meet in the aisles of the store.
A selection of 100% organic produce means no cross contamination or worries about accidentally picking up a conventional apple, potato or lettuce. We take great care with each product we sell, making sure it is sourced from the best provenance with immpecible environmental standards and fair work practices.
